The Cleveland Browns are 1-3 early in the 2024 NFL season and, as shared in our Brownies and Frownies after Week 4’s game, the odds of making the playoffs with that record are very low. Anything is possible but Browns fans have turned on the team for good reason at this point. That means it is NFL Mock Draft season very early. While QB Deshaun Watson has not lived up to the trade or his contract, his play the last couple of weeks hasn’t been terrible either. An average quarterback with a big contract is unlikely to be traded away or released, for good reason due to the salary cap. According to Tankathon, the Browns are slotted to select fifth overall at this point but are tied with six other teams with the Miami Dolphins potentially joining that group if they lose on Monday Night Football.
