After ending the regular season 6-11 and getting swept by the Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Raiders are locked into the 7th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. There was a chance they could have jumped up to 6th had the Rams beat the Seahawks, but 7th feels like a fair slot after this season. This mock draft is operating under the assumption that the Raiders will look elsewhere for their starting QB in 2023. The front office and Josh McDaniels are in win-now mode, and they will want to take advantage of their current offensive weaponry by bringing in a veteran QB rather than drafting one in the first round. If you believe the rumors and reports, then Tom Brady is the number one choice followed by Jimmy Garoppolo which is quite the drop-off. Ideally, they could bring in Brady, keep Jarrett Stidham as his understudy and competent backup, and move forward by building a powerful offensive line and competent defense.
