There’s less than a week until opening night of the 2022 NFL Draft, and I’m finally prepared to unveil a predictive mock draft. We’ll run through every pick in the class, retooling and rebuilding franchises with strong draft hauls. Please note that this is a predictive mock draft and doesn’t reflect what I would do as a general manager. It’s worth mentioning that calling a seven-round mock draft “predictive” is a little misleading since I’ll be lucky if 20 to 30 of these selections actually happen. Most of my hits will come in the top 64 selections since more variables are introduced the further we travel down the board. Be reasonable with your evaluations of the predictive element in the later rounds. I apologize for not including any analysis with these selections, but I’m hoping to publish a new top 300 big board, top 40 running back rankings, top 30 interior offensive line rankings, top 60 edge rusher rankings (pray for me), and top 40 linebacker rankings all before opening night of the draft on Thursday, April 28. This is my way of saving some time for those projects.
