We've made it. The first round of the 2022 NFL Draft kicks off Thursday (8 p.m. ET, ESPN/ABC + NFLN) and what it might lack in household name starpower, it should make up for it in drama as the team picking first, the Jacksonville Jaguars, have not yet decided who they'll pick. Will it be Aidan Hutchinson? Or brand-new No. 1 favorite Travon Walker? Or even Evan Neal, who I once had going first in my initial mock draft? The smokescreens are just getting started. Unlike most years, nothing is set even at the very top of the board, which should make for a suspenseful first round. Which team loses the game of chicken and takes the first quarterback? Will the first three picks go EDGE-EDGE-EDGE? Any running backs? How many receivers? Oh — and how many trades and shockers? Probably a ton. Don't forget that a year ago on draft day was when the Aaron Rodgers saga blew up. This offseason has been unlike any other with NBA-like player movement and a ton more moves linger on the horizon, especially among the young star wideouts in the NFL: Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown, Terry McLaurin, D.K. Metcalf. Will any of them be shopped on draft night ... and will their old teams start a run of wideouts to replace them?
