The Bills think they have their franchise quarterback, and they need an infusion of talent. That leaves them poised to take the best player available. The consensus top player among experts heading into this season didn’t rack up a ton of stats last weekend. That’s due to team’s habit of scheming around him. He is definitely athletic enough to be the number one overall pick. There is film of him running with halfbacks to the edge. His most impressive trait, however, is his explosion off the line. His acceleration on the snap is off the charts allowing him to bust through the offensive line and into the backfield with ease. Often the offensive lineman charged with blocking him doesn’t have a chance to even make contact.
