2021 Re-Draft

OP: QB Trevor Lawrence I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; the Jaguars should not have taken Trevor Lawrence. Gardner Minshew was a serviceable quarterback, and the Jags needs ran way deeper. Here, they instead put a better weapon than DJ Chark out on the field for Minshew to throw to.

OP: QB Zach Wilson Another team with needs much deeper than quarterback, the Jets had zero (0) offensive weapons. Amon-Ra St. Brown is a top ten receiver who would thrive with even Joe Flacco throwing him the ball.

OP: QB Trey Lance The Niners, conversely, were a very good team with few needs beyond quarterback. Seeing someone like Trevor Lawrence in the Shanahan system with the Niners’ weapons would be thrilling.

OP: TE Kyle Pitts The Falcons defense in recent years has been ungodly in how bad it is. Three-time All-Pro Micah Parsons could easily slot in and transform the team into a contender again before Matt Ryan’s window completely closes.

OP: WR Ja’Marr Chase Yeah, losing Ja’Marr is certainly a blow. Fortunately, Penei Sewell is no small consolation prize. Putting Burrow behind the best tackle in football could potentially change the outcome of the ensuing Super Bowl.

OP: WR Jaylen Waddle Waddle is good, but still hasn’t broken out. Collins established himself in 2023 as one of the better receivers in the game. Pretty simple trade out,

OP: OT Penei Sewell Sewell is the best OT in the draft, but Slater is another All-Pro LT. The Lions don’t end up much worse for the wear.

OP: CB Jaycee Horn The Panthers fumbled the bag here. Pat Surtain is potentially the best corner in the league.

OP: CB Pat Surtain II The Broncos settle here for a guy they originally grabbed later in the incredible OG Quinn Meinerz.

OP: WR Devonta Smith The right choice by Philly. Their receiving room was terrible coming into this draft, and Smith brought a needed dimension to it.

OP: QB Justin Fields Creed Humphrey is the best center in football, and Sam Mustipher, the Bears’ starter, was at the time the worst center in football. Easy replacement to make.

OP: DE Micah Parsons Barmore is arguably the best nose tackle in the NFL, a position that Dallas hasn’t had a strong player at since Charles Haley in the Nineties.

OP: OT Rashawn Slater Yes, AVT has been injured a lot, but when he’s healthy he’s the most versatile lineman in the game.

OP: OG Alijah Vera-Tucker Missing out on AVT, the Jets instead turn their attention to their secondary with Asante Samuel

OP: QB Mac Jones Justin Fields came into a terrible situation in Chicago. In New England, which had a good roster but no QBs other than Brian Hoyer, he would excel.

OP: LB Zaven Collins Collins is an interesting figure to analyze, but in terms of careers, he’s nowhere near the incredible player that Owusu-Koramoah has turned into.

OP: OT Alex Leatherwood Darrisaw has been nothing less than a consistent starter since entering the league. The Raiders could use some stability at LT that Leatherwood could never offer.

OP: DE Jaelan Phillips Another stick. Phillips has been a solid player for the otherwise understaffed Dolphins defense.

OP: LB Jamin Davis Nothing against Davis. He’ll probably still go in the first, but the Football Team needs to lock up Cosmi before he slips much further.

OP: WR Kadarius Toney Literally anyone would be a better pick than Kadarius Toney. Here, the Giants secure a franchise offensive lineman to plug and play wherever they need him.

OP: DE Kwity Paye Paye is a consistent player, but the talent of Pitts should be too much to pass up here.

OP: CB Caleb Farley Don’t worry, Paye won’t fall far. Here, the Titans scoop him up to shore up their defensive line.

OP: OT Christian Darrisaw Looking at the Vikings’ 2021 DB room, it felt like i I was looking at a 2015 DB room. Basically, they need new blood.

OP: RB Najee Harris On the balance, a really bad RB draft class. I think Etienne is a little better than Harris, but it’s close. Yikes.

OP: RB Travis Etienne The Jags were so bad that they really need to go best available here. Hufanga is unquestionably the best player on the board.

OP: CB Greg Newsome II Who was even on this offense? This was a bad team, with the only real highlights being back-to-back No. 1 picks Baker Mayfield and Myles Garrett. Waddle gives Mayfield somebody to throw the ball to at least. Yikes.

OP: WR Rashid Bateman Keeping Lamar upright was a struggle for the Ravens at this time. Jenkins can hopefully solve that problem.

OP: DE Payton Turner Nick Bolton has had a fabulous, if not very unflashy, career in Kansas City, and would solve one of the few holes on this Saints team.

OP: CB Eric Stokes Jaycee Horn isn’t a BAD player per se, but he was definitely the wrong choice for Carolina. He is, however, the right choice here, bolstering a struggling Green Bay secondary.

OP: DE Gregory Rousseau ‘Nuff said. The Bills got it right.

OP: DE Odafe Oweh Another correct choice. Nice going, Baltimore.

OP: DE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka This was a very solid Bucs roster, but they were NOT prepped for the future. Here, they take the quality player Pat Freiermuth to backup Gronk and learn from him.
