The grass is not always greener on the other side, but where you water it. How many examples of players leaving Green Bay for "greener" pastures does someone like wide receiver Romeo Doubs need to realize that he might be better off sticking with the Packers? The Packers suspended Doubs for "conduct detrimental to the team" as it was reported that Doubs was skipping practices and meetings leading up to Green Bay's Week 5 win on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. This, oddly, is not the first time that the Packers have imposed a suspension on one of their own players in recent years. Cornerback Jaire Alexander was suspended last season. Doubs's situation doesn't automatically mean the Packers are going to trade him to the highest bidder in the coming weeks, nor does it mean they are guaranteed to get rid of him in the 2025 offseason. But the Packers could rather easily replace a player like Doubs in the 2025 NFL Draft, and that's an option we're going to explore in this Packers-focused mock draft.
