Blogging The Boys

● By Brian Martin
We are only a third of the way through the 2024 season and there is still a lot of football to play for the Dallas Cowboys. They are currently sitting at 3-3 entering their bye week, and if the season were over today, they'd hold the 16th overall pick in the first round. Today, we thought we'd have a little bit of fun instead of dwelling on the doom and gloom surrounding the Cowboys organization right now by doing a way-too-early 2025 mock draft. Barring any more trades between now and the 2024 NFL trade deadline (November 5), Dallas still possesses five their original draft picks. The Cowboys are currently without their original sixth- and seventh-round draft pick. Their seventh-rounder was part of the draft a trade with the Detroit Lions that landed them Tyler Guyton and the 2025 sixth-rounder was sent to the New York Giants for Jordan Phillips. They are expected to receive the max total of compensatory picks (4) next year though. Now, with all of that in mind we will use Pro Football Focus (PFF) mock draft simulator for this exercise.
