Chiefs Wire

● By Sam Teets
The Kansas City Chiefs appear to be poised for another deep playoff run. While Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid set their eyes on January, general manager Brett Veach and the team’s scouts are looking ahead to the 2025 NFL draft next April. The Chiefs face a wave of recognizable free agents, including Nick Bolton, Marquise Brown, Charles Omenihu, Justin Reid, Trey Smith, and Tershawn Wharton. Kansas City must replace these players, especially the key contributors along the offensive and defensive fronts. The Chiefs still own their original first, second, and third-round picks in the 2025 NFL draft. They will also have the benefit of an extra third-round selection from the Tennessee Titans, which was acquired via trade after Super Bowl LVIII in a deal that sent star defensive back L’Jarius Sneed to the Volunteer State.
