We’re just over two weeks away from the 2024 NFL draft taking the spotlight in Detriot for three days. And while the Houston Texans don’t have a first-round pick, that doesn’t mean they can’t land a Day 1 starter or two in the second round. Houston’s built to win now. Headlined by a breakout season from Offensive Rookie of the Year C.J. Stroud, the Texans are looking to build off their AFC South champion run and end their drought of making it to the conference title game. Stroud, who became the fifth passer in league history to throw for over 4,000 yards as a rookie, will be faced with added pressure as a rising star under center. On paper, Stroud has an exceptional supporting cast. Nico Collins is coming off a breakout season where he finished top-10 in receiving yards. Rookie Tank Dell should be cleared for all offseason workouts after suffering a fractured fibula in December. Meanwhile, Nick Caserio invested in his star passer on a rookie deal by adding a bit more fuel to the offense with the acquisitions of Pro Bowlers Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs.
