Things didn’t quite go perfectly for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday. In an ideal world, the team would’ve secured Josh Allen to a long-term contract, freeing the team up to use the franchise tag on Calvin Ridley instead. Now it seems there’s a strong chance Ridley, who led the team in receiving yards (1,016) and touchdown receptions (8) last season, will leave as a free agent. The Jaguars also find themselves with needs on the defensive side of the ball after releasing defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi, safety Rayshawn Jenkins, and cornerback Darious Williams to clear just over $20 million in salary cap space.
