The NFL draft will finally arrive Thursday night, ending months of player evaluations and near-endless speculation about whom teams will choose. But before then, I have one last projection of all 32 first-round picks. I’ve made these selections based on conversations over the past several weeks with NFL executives and other draft experts while factoring in team needs and doing a little educated guesswork. I won’t attempt to project trades, so we’ll have to wait until draft night to see whether New England, Washington or Chicago makes a move into the top 10 for a quarterback.
